Tanning not only makes people look healthy, it also helps people be healthy. Tanning promotes a feeling of well being, helps shake the 'winter blues' and can relieve aches and pains. Tanning is helpful for acne, psorasis and exema.

Is Tanning for you?

When exposed to the UVB portion of sunlight, human skin produces Vitamin D. Sunlight and Vitamin D significantly influence the regulation of over 100 bodily functions. By making it possible for the body to absorb calcium and other vital minerals from your diet, Vitamin D and the sun play crucial roles in the developement and maintenance of healthy bones. While actual sunshine can pose some risks, controlled exposure to UV at facilities like Sol Tanning minimize the health risks that cannot be controlled when sunbathing outdoors.

What to Expect.

It takes approximately 4 to 6 sessions to achieve a base tan depending on your skin type. We recommend that beginners tan once every 48 hours until the base tan is achieved. After that you can maintain your tan with one or two weekly sessions. It is also recommended to use a quality indoor tanning lotion to moisturize your skin and improve your tanning potential.
